Thrilling Play Resumes in SL vs IND 2nd T20I: Rain-Interrupted Battle Sees DLS Target Set at 78 in 8 Overs; Sanju Falls for Nought – Sportstar

In the 2nd T20I match between Sri Lanka and India, the game resumed after a rain delay with India set a revised target of 78 runs in 8 overs by the DLS method. The chase got off to a rocky start for India as Sanju Samson was dismissed for a duck by Maheesh Theekshana, leaving India at 12/1 early in their innings.

The match underwent some notable lineup changes with Sanju Samson stepping in for Shubman Gill, who was inexplicably absent from the vice-captaincy role for this game. Meanwhile, Sri Lankan bowlers capitalized on the challenging conditions to put the Indian batsmen under pressure right from the start.

Stay tuned for further updates as India aims to overcome the revised target under the pressing circumstances of a rain-shortened match.
