Leak season continues for Google’s Pixel lineup, despite the company’s efforts to curb the trend by scheduling its annual launch event earlier in August. Case Colors Revealed
The Pixel 9 Pro’s official silicone cases will be available in Charcoal, Porcelain, Hazel, Rose, and Aloe—although the Aloe color seems puzzling given that the device itself isn’t expected to come in this shade. For the Pixel 9 Pro XL, the same color options are available, with the exception of Aloe.
Promo Videos Surface
A promotional video showcasing both the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL appeared online but was quickly removed from YouTube for purportedly violating the platform’s Terms of Service. The video highlighted two significant updates: the availability of the Pixel Pro in two sizes and Google’s commitment to providing seven years of Pixel Feature Drops. It also flaunted ‘Pro-level’ camera capabilities, including Super Res Zoom Video and a new AI feature called Add Me, which allows users to merge two group shots, ensuring everyone is in the resulting image.

Google’s Gemini, the company’s latest AI initiative, received notable attention, reflecting the broader industry’s focus on artificial intelligence in 2024. Additionally, leaked screenshots demonstrated a new feature that makes it easier to search through saved screenshots.
The Base Model: Pixel 9
A separate video focusing on the ‘vanilla’ Pixel 9 also emerged, though it remains online—temporarily at least. This video introduced the Magic Editor feature, an AI-driven tool designed to "reimagine" photos, alongside claims of a "durable design."
