Thrilling Triumph: Himanta Biswa Sarma Inspires Hope by Distributing Appointment Letters to 465 Candidates in Assam
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed appointment letters to 465 candidates in various departments today, underscoring the government’s dedication to generating employment opportunities. This effort is part of the state’s extensive recruitment campaign.
Posting on microblogging site X, Sarma remarked, “Empowering Assam’s Youth. After providing 97,505 Govt jobs to our youth in the recent past, today we distributed appointment letters to 465 candidates in various departments. We are firmly on course to complete 50,000 additional recruitments by May 2025.”
This latest distribution follows a previous ceremony on July 14, where Sarma handed out appointment letters to 41 youths for positions ranging from Grade IV employees to college teachers in the Education Department. During that event, Sarma noted that the government has created 97,495 jobs over the past three years.
Reaffirming his administration’s election promise, the Chief Minister emphasized their commitment to delivering one lakh jobs within their term. Although the BJP initially vowed to create one lakh government jobs annually during the 2021 assembly elections, it later clarified that the goal was intended for the entire five-year tenure.
