Double Murder in Assam: Woman and Daughter Hacked to Death in Kokrajhar
In a chilling incident that has shocked Assam’s Kokrajhar district, a woman and her daughter were allegedly murdered by the latter’s husband. The victims, identified as Kalpana Mallik and her daughter, Dipshikha Mallik, were brutally hacked to death with an axe late Wednesday night at their residence in Shanti Nagar, Ward No. 3.
The prime suspect in this horrific crime is Dipshikha’s husband, Manab Saha, who is currently on the run and remains untraceable. Preliminary reports suggest that a family dispute may have triggered the savage attack, although the exact motive has not yet been confirmed.
