Teenage Pregnancy Case Shocks Singtam Community
A distressing case of teenage pregnancy has surfaced in Singtam, leaving the community in shock. A 15-year-old girl was found to be approximately 25 weeks pregnant during a routine medical check-up at District Hospital Singtam on Sunday, July 21.
The discovery occurred when the girl’s mother sought medical assistance due to her daughter’s irregular menstrual cycle. Upon conducting a pregnancy test, Dr. Jai Bahadur Gurung confirmed the troubling news.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the minor had been involved in a relationship with a local man, identified as Padam Bahadur Sunar, also known as Bishal Sunar, since last year. It is alleged that the two engaged in sexual activities at an abandoned building in Sirwani, Singtam.
Following the complaint, the police have registered a case and commenced a thorough investigation into the incident.
