India’s Powerhouse Paris Olympics Dream Team Finalized: 117 Athletes, 140 Support Staff Ready to Conquer!
India’s final contingent for the upcoming Paris Olympics has received the green light from the sports ministry. The team will feature 117 athletes, supported by 140 officials and staff members. The games are slated to run from the 26th of this month to the 11th of next month.
Athletics will lead the pack with 29 athletes, making it the largest group in the contingent. Shooting will follow with 21 participants, while hockey will contribute 19 players. The table tennis team will have eight players in action, and seven competitors will represent India in badminton, including the two-time Olympic medallist, P.V. Sindhu. Wrestling, archery, and boxing will each have six representatives. Additionally, there will be four golfers, three tennis players, and two each in swimming and sailing. The contingent will also include one athlete each in equestrian, judo, rowing, and weightlifting.
This diverse and robust lineup underscores India’s multifaceted strengths and aspirations in the global sporting arena.
