Heartfelt Outcry: All Tripura Samgra Shiksha Ministerial Staff Lament Stark Deprivation
All Tripura Samgra Shiksha Ministerial Staff Organization Calls for Government Action After Tragic Incident

Agartala, July 17, 2024: The All Tripura Samgra Shiksha Ministerial Staff Organization has voiced concerns over the ongoing deprivation faced by its members. At a press conference held at the Agartala Press Club on Wednesday, Organizing Secretary Suman Chandra Nath highlighted the pressing demands of the organization.
The grievances are punctuated by the tragic death of education worker Sangita Sinha, who passed away on July 12. Sinha sustained severe head injuries after an accident while traveling to North Lalchari SB School. Despite being referred to GB Hospital from Dhalai District Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries en route. Nath expressed profound sorrow that six days post-incident, the state government had not provided any assistance or made any announcements regarding her untimely demise.
The organization emphasized the long-term dissatisfaction among the ministerial non-teaching staff and broader education sector due to inadequate support from the government. They pointed out that unlike Tripura, other states have regularized non-teaching staff, providing increased salaries, allowances, and job security until the age of 60. Furthermore, employees in other states benefit from various leaves, CPF, and EPF, which are not afforded to workers in Tripura.
Nath asserted that the ministerial staff in Tripura are fully qualified for their roles, making regularization a practical solution. The organization is urging immediate government intervention, including the provision of a government job to a family member of the late Sangeeta Sinha and compensation of Rs. 10 lakhs to her family. They also demand the regularization of ministerial non-teaching staff in line with other states and fair benefits, such as DA, CA, and medical allowances, for all regular employees.
The organization calls for immediate action to address these concerns, highlighting the necessity for the state government to provide the same level of support and security as seen in other regions.
