Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh Triumphantly Inaugurates Asia’s Groundbreaking Pre-Clinical Network Facility in Faridabad
Inaugurating a significant milestone in health research, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Science and Technology, unveiled Asia’s first pre-clinical network facility at the Translational Health Science & Technology Institute (THSTI) in Faridabad on Tuesday. This pioneering facility is set to become the ninth globally and marks a substantial advancement in the continent’s scientific infrastructure.
The Ministry of Science and Technology highlighted the facility’s significance, describing it as a crucial addition to Asia’s research capabilities. Accompanying this launch, Dr. Singh also inaugurated the Genetically Defined Human Associated Microbial Culture Collection (Ge-HuMic) at the same institute. This collection serves as a crucial repository, offering microbial cultures to various research institutes, universities, and industries for their Research and Development programs.
Further underscoring the day’s importance, Dr. Singh signed over a dozen agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with private sector entities. These agreements, orchestrated under the Department of Biotechnology, aim primarily at fostering vaccine development, reinforcing the ministry’s commitment to advancing biotechnology and enhancing public health infrastructure.
This dual initiative not only bolsters India’s research capabilities but also places the nation at a pivotal point in the global scientific community, setting the stage for future collaborative advancements in health and technology.
