In the BMW hit-and-run case, Mihir Shah admitted to driving the car that caused a tragic accident on July 7. The incident left motorcyclist Pradeep Nakhwa severely injured, while his wife, Kaveri Nakhwa, succumbed to her injuries after being struck by the vehicle. According to police reports, the BMW did not stop even as Kaveri was trapped under the wheel.
Mihir Shah, identified as the 24-year-old prime suspect, was apprehended two days post-incident in Thane district. Mumbai Police subsequently presented him before the metropolitan magistrate court, where he was remanded to police custody until July 16, as reported by the Hindustan Times.
The case has drawn significant attention partly due to Mihir Shah’s familial connections. His father, Rajeev Shah, an active Shiv Sena politician from Palgarh district, is currently out on bail, adding a layer of public interest to the investigation.
