AAP MLA from Najafgarh, Kailash Gahlot, officially assumed his duties as the Minister for Transport, Home, Administrative Reforms, and Women and Child Development in Delhi on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Gahlot, who previously held these portfolios under Arvind Kejriwal’s administration, expressed his unwavering commitment to serve Delhi’s residents and his ambition to see Kejriwal reinstated as Chief Minister.
Chief Minister Atishi and her ministers, including Gopal Rai, Imran Hussain, and Mukesh Ahlawat, also took charge of their respective departments on Monday. Meanwhile, Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj had already assumed his role on Saturday following their oath-taking ceremony administered by Lt. Governor V.K. Saxena.
Gahlot remains optimistic about the upcoming Assembly elections in February, indicating that the party is well-prepared and confident in Kejriwal’s potential return to the chief ministerial position.
