PM Narendra Modi to Empower India’s Green Future at the 4th RE Invest Global Meet in Gujarat
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the fourth RE Invest Global Industrial Meet at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, today. He will also launch the second phase of the Ahmedabad Metro, extending the connectivity to Gandhinagar and GIFT City.
Additionally, Modi will engage with beneficiaries of the PM Suryaghar Muft Bijali Yojana. Later in the day, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for an array of projects valued over 8,000 crores, including India’s first Vande Bharat Metro train connecting Ahmedabad to Bhuj.
Organized by the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the 4th RE-INVEST Global Renewable Energy Meet & Expo aims to spotlight India’s advancements in renewable energy manufacturing and utilization. Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will attend the inaugural session.
Spanning three days, the event will offer over 40 sessions and specialized discussions covering innovative financing, green hydrogen, and future energy solutions. It is expected to draw around 25,000 delegates from 140 countries. Partner countries include Germany, Australia, Denmark, and Norway, while partner states feature Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh.
A concurrent exhibition will display state-of-the-art renewable energy innovations from various companies, start-ups, and key industry players. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will be the Chief Guest for the event’s closing session on September 18.
This meet underscores India’s significant strides in the renewable energy sector and sets the stage for future collaborations and innovations on a global scale.
