Top Telangana Police Inspect Ganesh Procession Routes to Ensure Safety and Joyous Celebrations
Hyderabad All Set for Ganesh Immersion Procession
Telangana DGP Jitender, Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand, Rachakonda Police Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu, and other senior officials conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Ganesh immersion procession route from Balapur to Tank Bund on Saturday. This walkthrough, covering key areas including Chandrayanagutta, Falaknuma, and Charminar, aimed to ensure smooth proceedings for the upcoming festival on September 14, 2024.
A massive police deployment of nearly 25,000 personnel will be in place, with thorough arrangements for their accommodation and food. The team examined traffic flow, security measures, and the potential challenges along the 19-km procession route. Special emphasis was placed on adhering to height restrictions and junction clearances, with several roads set to be closed and traffic diversions implemented.
To maintain order, Quick Response Teams, dog squads, anti-chain snatching teams, and SHE teams will be deployed. Additionally, a joint command control center will be operational from September 17 at Banjara Hills, ensuring seamless coordination among various departments.
In a media briefing, Mr. Anand assured citizens of meticulous preparations for both the Ganesh idol immersion and Milad-Un-Nabi celebrations. Senior officials from the GHMC, Revenue, and Power departments were involved in the inspections. Emphasizing public cooperation, Mr. Anand expressed confidence in a peaceful celebration.
Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu highlighted the repair of roads en route to Balapur and assured continuous monitoring via CCTV cameras. He urged organizers and devotees to cooperate fully to ensure a smooth and festive Ganesh Shobha Yatra.
