Daniel Siad, a 69‑year‑old modelling scout who appeared repeatedly in files linked to Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead at his Paris home on Monday. A 28‑year‑old woman who was staying with him told authorities she attempted CPR but could not revive him; officials suspect cardiac arrest and the French prosecutor’s office has opened an inquiry and ordered a post‑mortem examination. Siad was under investigation for human trafficking at the time of his death, and his name reportedly appears thousands of times across documents tied to Epstein’s network.
The news has reignited questions and conspiracy theories surrounding Epstein and his circle. Epstein died in a New York jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex‑trafficking charges; two guards assigned to watch him later admitted failing to check on him and cameras outside his cell had reportedly malfunctioned. Siad’s death follows a string of other unexplained or suspicious deaths connected in various ways to Epstein. Among those who have died are Alfredo Rodriguez (2014), a former butler who tried to sell Epstein’s so‑called “little black book”; Joe Recarey (2018), the Palm Beach detective who led an early probe; Thomas Bowers (2019), a banker reported to have died by suicide; Hollywood producer Steve Bing (2020), who died by suicide; Efrain “Stone” Reyes (2021), Epstein’s final cellmate; French agent Jean‑Luc Brunel (2022), found hanged in a Paris jail; Steven Hoffenberg (2022), a onetime associate found dead of natural causes; Mark Middleton (2022), found dead in Arkansas in an apparent suicide; and former U.S. governor Bill Richardson (2023), who died in his sleep. More recently, Virginia Giuffre, a prominent accuser, died in 2025 at age 41 in Australia; her father has publicly questioned the circumstances.
