There are three architectural shifts embedded in this story that enterprise and research leaders should internalise.

But India’s context demands frugal validation: on‑farm trials across agro‑ecologies, collaborations with ICAR/state agri universities, and accessible stewardship programmes for smallholders. There is also opportunity for local manufacturing and formulation know‑how; Indian CROs and chemical manufacturers can shorten time‑to‑market if partnerships are structured around transparent data‑sharing and local regulatory alignment.
