June 14 Statewide Welfare Camps: Landmark 12-Year PM Modi Milestone
Agartala, June 8, 2026 — Tripura will hold a series of statewide public welfare camps to mark the completion of 12 years of the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The state-level camp is scheduled at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan from June 14 to June 16, while block and urban-level camps will run from June 15 to June 17, authorities announced after a review meeting.
The virtual review was chaired by Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy at the Secretariat Video Conference Hall on June 8. Present at the meeting were the Secretary of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department, senior officials from multiple departments and the District Magistrates of the state’s eight districts.
Officials said camps will be organized at every block and local self-governing body across Tripura, including in Agartala, to ensure wide public access. The program aims to bring government services closer to residents by setting up single-window points for scheme enrollment and assistance.
The drives will focus on enrolling beneficiaries and raising awareness of flagship welfare schemes. Special attention will be given to schemes named in the review: Ayushman Bharat, PM Suryaghar, PM SVANidhi, Lakhpati Didi and VBG Ramji, among others, to help eligible residents claim benefits and learn about entitlements.
State authorities emphasized coordination between departments and district administrations to ensure smooth execution during the June 14–17 period. Citizens seeking scheme-related support were advised to visit their local block or urban camp on the announced dates.
