Instagram Introduces Comments in Stories

Instagram has announced a new feature allowing users to comment on Stories. The "Comments in Stories" feature was unveiled during the launch of Creator Lab in India and confirmed via Instagram’s official account. This addition enables users to publicly comment on friends’ Stories, with comments visible to other followers.
Previously, Instagram users couldn’t publicly comment on Stories. The new feature changes that but comes with two restrictions to combat trolling: only followers can see the comments, and only users that the story’s creator follows back can comment.
Comments on Stories will be visible for 24 hours, unless the Story is saved as a highlight, in which case comments remain visible. Users also have the option to enable or disable comments on individual Stories.
In addition to this update, Instagram has launched features allowing users to add text to photos directly in the post editor and introduced new fonts, effects, and animations for Reels and Stories. Another new feature lets users add a song to their profile, which will be displayed in the bio section.
