Agartala, 3rd September 2024: In a major boost to flood relief efforts, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha has announced an additional allocation of Rs. 10 crore from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for those affected by the devastating floods in Tripura. This new funding comes on top of the previously sanctioned Rs. 2 crore, bringing the total relief amount to Rs. 12 crore.
In a Facebook post, Chief Minister Saha shared the news, stating, "Enhancing Support for flood-affected people & areas! In addition to the previously sanctioned amount of Rs. 2.0 crore, we are allocating Rs. 10 crore from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to provide relief to the people affected by the floods in different parts of the State. #TripuraFloodRelief."
The additional funds are expected to deliver comprehensive aid and support to the flood victims, addressing both immediate needs and long-term recovery efforts. This increase in financial support underscores the government’s commitment to alleviating the hardships faced by citizens in the flood-impacted regions of Tripura.
