Mizoram Board Declares Class 10 Results — Pass Rate Surges to 80.31%
The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) on Thursday, April 23, 2026, declared the Class 10 (HSLC) examination results, reporting an improved overall pass percentage of 80.31%, up from last year’s 76.68% — a rise of 3.63 percentage points.
A total of 18,257 students appeared for the examinations held in February and March. Of these, 8,448 were boys, with a pass rate of 81.16%, while 9,809 were girls, of whom 79.59% cleared the exam, leaving a modest gender gap in favour of boys.
MBSE officials said the increase in the pass percentage reflects better performance by students across the state. The board described the results as indicating a steady improvement in academic outcomes in Mizoram.
The announcement will determine students’ progression to higher secondary courses and influence admissions and counselling for Class 11 streams. Schools and education stakeholders will now review the results to identify areas for further academic support and targeted interventions.
