The National People’s Party (NPP) said its Central Election Committee has finalised candidates for the forthcoming Assam Legislative Assembly elections 2026 and the Nagaland bye-election 2026, issuing the list in a party statement from its Shillong headquarters.
In Assam, the party has nominated Daniel Langshasa for the 113-Haflong seat (ST — Scheduled Tribe), while Ganseng Sangma will contest from 28-Boko-Chaygaon (ST). Md. Aminul Islam has been fielded from 11-Mankachar (General), the party said.
For the Nagaland bye-election, the NPP named L. Abenjang as its candidate for the 28-Koridang Assembly constituency (ST).
The party said these selections were made by its Central Election Committee ahead of the upcoming electoral contests. The announcement sets out the NPP’s official ticketing for the named constituencies as the state polls approach.
