Shillong, March 9 — Laitkynsew Mission Club and Sohra Combine recorded convincing victories on Day 15 of the 5th District League T20 Cricket Tournament organised by the East Khasi Hills Cricket Association in Shillong. Laitkynsew defeated Sohra Police Combine by 48 runs, while Sohra Combine chased down a modest target against Nayabasti Youth Club to win by nine wickets.
Laitkynsew Mission Club posted 143 for 9 in their 20 overs, led by Mebanrikupar Malngiang’s top score of 57. Sohra Police Combine were then bowled out for 95 in 17 overs. Pynskhem Phawa starred with the ball, taking 5/11 (five wickets for 11 runs), and was named Player of the Match for his match-winning spell.
In the other game, Nayabasti Youth Club were bundled out for 49 in 15.1 overs. Sohra Combine reached the target comfortably, finishing 52 for 1 in 4.2 overs. Darius Rani’s performance in the chase earned him the Player of the Match award.
