Juhi Chawla, the renowned actress and co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), has achieved a prestigious milestone by securing the sixth spot on the top 10 self-made women list in the 2024 Hurun India Rich List. Her impressive wealth of Rs 4,600 crore places her among illustrious company, including Radha Vembu (Rs 47,500 crore), Falguni Nayar, Jayshree Ullaal, and Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw. Juhi trails Neha Narkhede and family (Rs 4,900 crore) and is followed by former PepsiCo CEO Indra K Nooyi (Rs 3,900 crore).

Apart from this accolade, Juhi Chawla also ranks next to Shah Rukh Khan in the list of silver screen titans. Since 1995, Juhi has been married to Jay Mehta, Chairman of The Mehta Group. The couple resides in a family-owned apartment building in Malabar Hill, one of Mumbai’s most upscale neighborhoods.

Juhi co-owns the IPL team KKR with Jay Mehta and Shah Rukh Khan, with Forbes valuing the team at $1.1 billion (approximately Rs 9,139 crore) as of 2022. Their taste for luxury extends to their car collection, featuring an Aston Martin Rapide (Rs 3.3 crore), BMW 7 Series (Rs 1.8 crore), Mercedes-Benz S Class (Rs 1.7 crore), Jaguar XJ (Rs 1.2 crore), and Porsche Cayenne (Rs 1.36-2 crore).

A prominent figure in Bollywood during the 90s, Juhi co-founded Dreamz Unlimited with Shah Rukh Khan, producing films such as Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000).

The 2024 Hurun India Rich List highlights a significant increase in wealth among Indians, with 1,539 individuals boasting a net worth of over Rs 1,000 crore—a jump of 220 people from last year. Juhi Chawla’s accomplishments in this list underscore her success both in entertainment and business.
