Norman Putsure College Celebrates Literary Day 2026 — Inspiring Voices
Chümoukedima, February 16, 2026 — The Literature Club of Norman Putsure College staged Literary Day 2026 at the college auditorium on Monday under the theme “Through the Looking Glass,” bringing together students across departments for a day of cosplay, drama and music that celebrated imagination and literary expression.
The programme opened with a Literary Cosplay competition in which students from various departments dressed as and performed as well-known literary characters, winning praise for expressive portrayals and careful attention to costume and detail.
A drama competition followed, featuring short plays that highlighted strong storytelling, cooperative stagecraft and the students’ engagement with literary themes; several groups used the stage to enact vivid scenes drawn from classic and contemporary works.
Musical performances added a melodic counterpoint to the day, with solo and group pieces that complemented the theatrical presentations. The event concluded with the announcement of competition results and a formal vote of thanks.
Organisers said Literary Day provided a meaningful platform for students to display artistic talent, foster inter-departmental camaraderie and explore literature’s creative possibilities. The event underscored Norman Putsure College’s ongoing commitment to nurturing creativity, critical thinking and cultural appreciation among its students.
