Tragic Horror in Farrukhabad: Family Claims Murder After Two Young Girls Found Hanging from Tree
In a harrowing incident in Farrukhabad district, Uttar Pradesh, two teenage girls were found hanging from a tree in Bhagautipur village on Tuesday morning. The victims, aged 18 and 15, had left their homes together the previous night to attend Janmashtami celebrations. According to Alok Priyadarshi, the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Farrukhabad, preliminary investigations suggest that the friends used a single dupatta to hang themselves, hinting at a possible double suicide.
The father of one of the girls, Pappu, mentioned that after returning from the temple at night, the girls informed him of their intention to participate in the celebrations. Exhausted from farm work, Pappu fell asleep and was unaware of the situation until midnight, when the program concluded, and the girls were nowhere to be found. Despite searching extensively and asking around, there was no trace of them.
Suspicion and grief marked Pappu’s statement as he suggested the possibility of foul play, expressing doubts about any enmity he might have with others. In contrast, police lean towards the suicide theory but emphasize that the postmortem results will provide definitive answers. A mobile phone and a sim card were recovered from the scene, which could potentially offer critical clues.
Family members of the victims have lodged a formal complaint, pressing for an investigation to uncover the truth behind the tragic event. The community remains in shock, awaiting further revelations from the ongoing police inquiry, which aims to clarify the circumstances surrounding the girls’ deaths.
