Celebrating Safety and Community: 18th Annual My City Traffic Police Day Inspires Unity and Awareness

Karthik Reddy, Deputy Inspector General and Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), engaged with schoolchildren at the “Celebrating My City Traffic Police Day,” an event organized by the Children’s Movement for Civic Awareness (CMCA) on January 30, 2026, at the Traffic Police Park on St. Mark’s Road in Bengaluru. This annual celebration marked its 18th year, recognizing the dedicated efforts of Bengaluru’s traffic police in ensuring safety and efficiency across the bustling city.

The event brought together over 40 traffic personnel and around 60 to 70 enthusiastic students from 15 local schools. Participants expressed their appreciation for the police force with handmade cards, flowers, songs, and heartfelt poems. Their gestures highlighted a growing awareness among young citizens about the role of traffic police in maintaining public safety.

Senior officers, including Reddy and Anoop A.
