Assam BJP Launches Energizing Wall Writing Campaign Starting January 5!
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to launch a statewide wall writing campaign on January 5, aimed at bolstering its outreach ahead of the 2026 Assam Assembly elections. The initiative will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at the Kendriya Vidyalaya in Khanapara, located within the Guwahati Capital Mandal.
During a press conference held at the party’s state headquarters, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, BJP MP Pradan Baruah announced that the event will take place with the presence of Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia, who is also the representative for the Darrang–Udalguri Lok Sabha constituency. Following the inauguration, wall writing activities will take place simultaneously across Assam, engaging BJP MPs, ministers, MLAs, and various local leaders, as detailed in an official statement.
Baruah explained that the first phase of the campaign will showcase slogans emphasizing the party’s agenda. These include phrases such as “Why we need the BJP — for transparent, merit-based recruitment — BJP government once again,” “Why we need the BJP — for women’s economic empowerment — BJP government once again,” and “Why we need the BJP — for a developed, secure and self-reliant Assam — BJP government once again.” Other slogans will highlight the BJP’s commitment to Assam’s security and the call to vote for the BJP to achieve a progressive Assam.
In preparation for the upcoming elections, Baruah, who also serves as the convenor of the BJP Assam Pradesh Assembly Election Management Committee, noted that election management committees have been established across all assembly constituencies and panchayat levels throughout the state. The press conference also featured Anup Barman, co-convenor of the election management committee.
