In the Bishnupur District, authorities discovered a substantial cache comprising one AK Assault rifle, a .303 bolt action rifle, a 12-bore single barrel gun, and multiple pistols with magazines. The haul also included eleven HE-36 hand grenades, eight detonators, and various other explosive devices and ammunition. Notably, an improvised mortar with a bipod, along with two improvised mortar shells, was uncovered in Wainem, Keinou Maning, and Ayokpa Khun.
Similarly, in the Kakching District, security forces seized an INSAS rifle with a loaded magazine, a 9mm pistol with an empty magazine, five HE-36 grenades, and an assortment of other ammunition and tactical equipment. This operation also led to the recovery of a BP vest and several blank rounds.
Beyond the recovery of arms, security personnel ensured the safe movement of essential goods with 65 and 54 vehicles traveling along NH-37 and NH-2 respectively. To tighten security measures, 105 checkpoints were established across various districts, resulting in the detention of 224 individuals for violations related to the ongoing operations.
