Tragic Discovery: Bangladeshi Student Found Hanging in Greater Noida Home
A Bangladeshi national was found hanging in his rented accommodation in Greater Noida’s Beta-2 area on Sunday evening, according to police reports. The deceased has been identified as Sahriyar, a student.
Police were alerted by the landlord, who had gone to check on Sahriyar after not seeing him for over a day. “The body was found hanging from a ceiling fan. It has been sent for a post-mortem examination. No suicide note has been recovered,” stated Hemant Upadhyay, Officer of Greater Noida 1 Circle.
Investigators revealed that Sahriyar had moved in with a woman named Rupa, a resident of Bihar. They claimed to be married and rented a room for ₹8,000, having moved in on November 17.
Rupa was last seen leaving the accommodation on November 21. “Since that evening, Sahriyar’s phone had been switched off. On Sunday, when we looked inside through the window, we discovered him hanging,” the landlord informed the police.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of death. “We will know the exact cause after the post-mortem. Further investigations are ongoing,” Upadhyay added.
