Officials responsible for managing election materials in Mizoram participated in specialized training on November 23, as they gear up for the 12th General Election to the Lai Autonomous District Council. The training, conducted at the DRDO Conference Hall, aimed to equip Dispatch and Receiving Teams with critical procedures to ensure a smooth electoral process.
District Election Officer Donny Lalruatsanga, who oversaw the training, emphasized the importance of avoiding errors during election operations. He highlighted the significant responsibilities of election officials in maintaining transparency and efficiency throughout the voting process. Lalruatsanga pointed out that the dispatch and receiving teams play a vital role in the electoral machinery, urging participants to approach their tasks with accuracy and dedication.
The training sessions covered operational protocols, prohibited practices, and necessary guidelines for managing election materials. Master Trainer Gilbert Lalhlimpuia and Election Officer Collin Hlychho led these instructional sessions. Lalruatsanga expressed appreciation for the officials’ participation, noting that proper preparation enhances their ability to execute their roles effectively in the upcoming council elections.
