Arunachal’s Remarkable Progress: Insights from CM Pema Khandu
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced on Tuesday that the state is making significant strides on the national stage, as evidenced by a series of prestigious recognitions across various sectors. These accolades reflect the government’s dedication to good governance, innovation, and inclusive development. In a post on X, Khandu highlighted, “Our state continues to shine nationally with a series of prestigious recognitions across diverse sectors,” crediting these achievements to the collective efforts of the state’s people and the commitment of government officials working to transform Arunachal Pradesh into a model of governance and growth.
The state has secured top honors in several national assessments, including recognition as the “Most Improved State in Governance.” Additionally, Arunachal Pradesh received three awards in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) for its effective implementation of housing initiatives.
In the 2022 Start-up Ranking conducted by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Arunachal was declared a ‘Top Performer.’ It also excelled in the Investment Pillar of the India Innovation Index 2021. Khandu noted the state’s advancements in environmental innovation, specifically mentioning the eForest Fire App, which was awarded at the 23rd National Conference on e-Governance.
Moreover, Tawang and East Kameng districts were acknowledged for their excellence in cleanliness initiatives at the ‘Azadi@75 Swachh Survekshan 2022.’ The northeastern state was further recognized as an Achiever in the LEADS-2024 report and earned an award for the ‘Best Community Engagement in Adolescent Health and Wellness Days’ from the National Health Mission, showcasing its outstanding outreach in public health.
