Former Manipur MP Lorho Pfoze’s Bold Exit from Naga People’s Front
Former Manipur MP Lorho S Pfoze has officially resigned from the Naga People’s Front (NPF), a political party he has been affiliated with. Hailing from Senapati district, Pfoze cited “personal reasons” for his departure from the party, underscoring that the decision was not made lightly.
In a letter addressed to the NPF president on September 11, Pfoze stated, “I am writing this letter to inform you of my decision to resign from the primary and active membership of the NPF.” At 65 years old, the doctor-turned-politician, who belongs to the Mao Naga community, expressed gratitude towards the NPF for the opportunities he received during his tenure, noting his service in various capacities.
Pfoze was elected as the Member of Parliament for the Outer Manipur Lok Sabha seat in 2019, marking his significant role in the political landscape of the region. His resignation raises questions about the future of his political endeavors and the impact on the NPF.
