Guwahati: As part of the upcoming Seva Saptah, which will take place from September 17 to September 23, a preparatory meeting was conducted on Thursday at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner in the Kamrup Metropolitan District. The meeting was led by Ramendra Narayan Kalita, the MLA for West Guwahati.
The weeklong celebration is set to feature several initiatives, including the launch of Arunodoi 3.0, the organization of constituency-based mega health camps, and the provision of Rs 25,000 financial assistance to approximately 1,000 authors under the Year of Books initiative. Other notable events will consist of 75 voluntary blood donation camps and the distribution of nearly 15 lakh saplings to 20,000 educational institutions throughout Assam. Additionally, the Nikshay Mitra programme for tuberculosis patients and a land patta distribution drive will be implemented.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including Deputy Commissioner Sumit Sattawan, District Development Commissioner Parijat Bhuyan, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of New Guwahati Subdivision, and various Assistant Commissioners, who gathered to ensure the seamless execution of the forthcoming programs.
