Mass Joining Event in Karaibari: Witness the Voices of ‘BPF Zindabad’
A significant number of supporters and workers from Karaibari village in the Koklabari Council Constituency joined the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) on August 7. The event, which saw a large turnout, was led by BPF ticket aspirant Cigoumchar Boro.
The new members, previously aligned with the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL), expressed their discontent with the current leadership and the perceived lack of development in their area as primary motivations for their switch. They voiced strong confidence in BPF’s leadership and its vision for the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), committing their full support for the party in the upcoming elections.
In interviews, several residents highlighted that Karaibari has been largely overlooked by the current administration, pointing out a lack of noticeable progress. The atmosphere during the joining event was charged with energy, as attendees enthusiastically chanted “BPF Zindabad,” “Hagrama Mohilary Zindabad,” and “Cigoumchar Boro Zindabad.”
Speakers at the gathering expressed optimism about BPF’s prospects, believing the party is set to make a robust comeback and likely to form the next government in BTR with a solid majority. Many attendees predicted that the Koklabari Council Constituency would decisively support the BPF in the forthcoming elections.
