This memorial is being developed by the Implementation of Assam Accord Department in collaboration with PWD (Building) and serves as a tribute to the 855 martyrs of the Assam Movement.
The Swahid Smarak Kshetra is designed to honor these martyrs with dedicated halls and modern amenities that celebrate their sacrifices. The total estimated cost of the project is approximately Rs 100 crore.
