Rangam 2025: Ujjaini Mahakali Oracle Unveils Promising Forecast of Abundant Rains for Telangana!
The annual Bonalu festivities kicked off with vibrant rituals at the Sri Ujjaini Mahakali Temple in Secunderabad on Monday, July 14, 2025, culminating in the highly anticipated Rangam or soothsayer ritual. This traditional ceremony, steeped in devotion and cultural significance, saw Oracle Matangi Swarnalatha deliver striking predictions reflecting both caution and hope as she embodied the voice of Goddess Mahakali.
As the oracle began her predictions, she emphasized the happiness of the goddess over the reverence shown by devotees. However, her message quickly shifted to a call for greater commitment: “I have been blessed with wealth for a long time but every year, you play games with me,” she lamented. This year marked the seventh consecutive warning that the faithful seemed to overlook, highlighting a growing urgency in her tone.
The oracle, viewed as Vishwamatta or Shakti during the trance, expressed concerns about the state of the community, seeking deeper devotion and sacrifice. “Show me blood,” she implored, reminding the attending priest and devotees of the grave responsibilities they had towards their faith.
