600-Foot Tiranga Paraded in Seppa Ahead of India’s 78th Independence Day
GUWAHATI: In a vibrant display of patriotism, a 600-foot-long Tiranga was paraded through the streets of Seppa in Arunachal Pradesh’s East Kameng district on Tuesday, August 13, as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga program, ahead of India’s 78th Independence Day celebrations.
The event saw the participation of over 2,000 students from local schools, who joined Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Mama Natung, MLA Hayeng Mangfi, and other officials in the grand procession. The students energetically chanted "Vande Mataram" as they marched with the colossal tricolor flag, showcasing their love for the nation.
In addition to the Tiranga Path Yatra, participants engaged in a cleanliness drive at the Seppa general ground to promote the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, further emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and national pride.
Commenting on the event via his official X handle, Home Minister Mama Natung said, "#harghartirangaabhiyan! Organised a #harghartiranga Tiranga Yatra public rally with 600 ft tiranga in Seppa, East Kameng District of #ArunachalPradesh celebrating spirit of freedom, patriotism & nationalism; accompanied by HMLAs @EalingTallang1 Ji, @HayengM Ji, @sachinranaiasAP, @SPEastKameng, District Administration, BJP karyakartas & all stakeholders.
