Unlock Your Entrepreneurial Potential: NECTAR & AIC-IPR Plasmatech’s Revolutionary Awareness Programme on Plasma Technologies at Cotton University
The North East Centre for Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR) recently hosted a one-day awareness programme on “Plasma Technologies for Entrepreneurship” at Sudmerson Hall, Cotton University, Guwahati. This event was held in collaboration with the AIC-IPR Plasmatech Innovation Foundation, an Atal Incubation Centre for the Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) in Gandhinagar, supported by AIM-NITI Aayog. A diverse group of 60 participants, including students, faculty members, and entrepreneurs, attended the programme.
The event saw the presence of key figures such as Prof. Ramesh Chandra Deka, Vice Chancellor of Cotton University, Dr. Arun Kumar Sarma, Director General of NECTAR, and Dr. Nirav Jamnapara, Head of AIC-IPR Plasmatech Innovation Foundation. Officials and experts from NECTAR and CPP-IPR, Sonapur, also participated, sharing their insights on plasma technology.
The programme aimed to illuminate the potential of plasma technology for creating successful technology-based enterprises. Topics covered included the fundamentals of plasma technology and practical case studies showcasing its transformative impact across various sectors. Additionally, discussions highlighted the significance of intellectual property and the benefits of patenting innovations.
A focal point of the event was the accessibility and application of plasma technology in the North Eastern region, providing participants with a nuanced understanding of the opportunities available.
Concluding the programme, certificates were awarded to all participants, marking their engagement and learning effort in this burgeoning field. The awareness event underscored NECTAR’s ongoing commitment to fostering technological innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.
