Actor Akshay Kumar announced on Sunday that filming for his upcoming horror comedy, Bhooth Bangla, has officially wrapped. He shared this milestone on social media by posting a behind-the-scenes video featuring the film’s leading lady, Wamiqa Gabbi. The video quickly went viral, generating excitement among fans eager for the film’s release.
In his post on X, Akshay expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm, stating, “And that’s a wrap on #BhoothBangla! My seventh madcap adventure with the ever-inventive @priyadarshandir sir, my second outing with the unstoppable @EktaaRKapoor, and my first but hopefully not the last, magical journey with the ever-surprising Wamiqa. Grateful for the madness, the magic, and the memories.”
The BTS video showcases a waterfall scene that evokes memories of Akshay’s iconic song “Tip Tip Barsa Paani” from the 1994 film Mohra, featuring Raveena Tandon. In the clip, Wamiqa looks stunning in a vibrant green saree, while Akshay complements her ensemble with a lighter shade of green, accessorized with sunglasses, a hat, and a sling bag.
Earlier, Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta shared a monochrome photograph with Akshay, confirming his participation in the film. He captioned it, “Fun Times From The Sets Of #bhootbangla.”
Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla also features notable actors such as Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Sharman Joshi, Mithila Palkar, Rajpal Naurang Yadav, and Jaaved Jaaferi. This film marks Akshay’s reunion with Priyadarshan after nearly 14 years. Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor under the Balaji Motion Pictures banner, Bhooth Bangla is set to hit theaters on April 2 next year.
