Monuj Kumar Deuri, a Senior Assistant at the Assam Police Headquarters, has been honored with the State Level Lok Sewa Puraskar 2024 for his exceptional professionalism. This esteemed award was presented by the Chief Minister of Assam during a ceremony held on August 5 in Guwahati.
Deuri’s journey with the Assam Police commenced in July 2006 when he joined as a Lower Division Assistant. Since 2012, he has been serving diligently at the Police Headquarters. Over the years, Deuri has been instrumental in several pivotal initiatives, notably the Sishu Mitra programme, which focuses on child-friendly policing.
His contributions extend beyond this single initiative. Deuri has also played a significant role in the grievance redressal cell and has been a strong supporter of the welfare of families of Assam Police martyrs. His efforts have not gone unnoticed, earning him a well-deserved state-level accolade.
The Director General of Police, GP Singh, extended his congratulations to Deuri on social media. Singh highlighted that the entire Assam Police force commends Deuri for being recognized with the Lok Sewa Puraskar.
