Agartala, 3rd August 2024: In a recent statement, BJP state President Rajib Bhattacharya declared the party’s resolve to take stringent action against individuals tarnishing its reputation. District Presidents have been assigned the task of compiling detailed reports on any such allegations. These reports will be meticulously reviewed, and in consultation with state in-charge Rajdeep Roy, the party’s core committee, and the office bearer committee, appropriate disciplinary actions will be enforced against the offenders.
During an organizational meeting held at Rabindranagar Community Hall in Kanthalia block, Sonamura subdivision on Saturday, Bhattacharya shared the BJP’s electoral successes. He revealed that BJP candidates secured unopposed victories in roughly 71 percent of the state’s 605 gram panchayats. The party is optimistic about clinching the remaining seats in the upcoming elections slated for August 8. The meeting served as a pre-election rally, energizing activists and supporters.
Additionally, Bhattacharya criticized opposition efforts to mislead voters through false propaganda, asserting that such tactics would not succeed. He reiterated that only the Modi government has the capability to ensure holistic development across the country.
The meeting saw notable attendees, including Pradesh Sampadika Moushumi Das, District President Debabrata Bhattacharya, MLA Bindu Debnath, and several BJP nominees from Zilla Mandals and three-tier Panchayats from various blocks.
With the upcoming elections, Bhattacharya’s remarks aimed to reaffirm the BJP’s commitment to governance and its readiness to counter any challenges posed by opposition strategies. The emphasis on internal discipline within the party and the focus on electoral victories reflect the BJP’s strategic approach to maintaining its stronghold in the region.
