Outrage in Assam: Headmaster Suspended for Shocking Examination Negligence at Kamrup’s Gasbari High School
The Secondary Education Department has taken disciplinary action against Ashok Choudhury, the headmaster of Gasbari High School, due to negligence in administering examinations. Choudhury has been suspended in response to the delays that occurred in distributing question papers on the first day of the HSLC Examination 2025 at the school’s examination centre.
The suspension order was issued by Secondary Education Director Mamata Hojai and has been enforced with immediate effect to address the issue promptly. To prevent further disruptions and ensure that the exams proceed smoothly, Muktaram Patowary, the headmaster of Gopalthan Regional High School, has been appointed as the new supervisor for the examination centre.
Kamrup Inspector of Schools, Tapan Kalita, confirmed this development and reiterated the department’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process. He assured that measures are being taken to prevent the recurrence of such lapses in the future, emphasizing the importance of upholding high standards during examinations.
This action reflects the department’s dedication to implementing stringent oversight and accountability measures in the educational examination process. The swift response aims to safeguard the interests of the students and ensure a fair and orderly examination environment going forward.
