Imran Khan’s Fiery Rebuke: Condemning the Controversial Al-Qadir Trust Case Verdict
ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistani Prime Minister, Imran Khan, has strongly criticized a court ruling in the Al Qadir Trust case, labeling it as a "mockery" of justice. Sharing his resolve through social media, Khan expressed his determination to fight the ruling without conceding to any deals, as reported by The Express Tribune.
Khan accused the judicial process of being compromised, arguing that the verdict was leaked to the media even before its official announcement, thereby undermining the judicial system’s integrity. He vowed to persist in his struggle for democracy and true freedom in Pakistan, even if it resulted in further imprisonment. He urged the populace to examine the Hamoodur Rahman Commission Report and study General Yahya Khan’s actions to understand the current government’s alleged detrimental path.
The PTI founder also criticized the judiciary for allegedly colluding with military interests and offering rewards for their support. He highlighted issues in the case, pointing towards the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders for questionable financial dealings, suggesting misplaced judicial focus. Additionally, Khan defended the Al-Qadir University project, clarifying its non-profit status and denying any personal financial gain for himself and his wife, Bushra Bibi, whom, he claimed, has been unfairly targeted.
Khan further stressed the importance of establishing a judicial commission to address specific incidents from May 9 and November 26, cautioning that ongoing negotiations with the government would be futile without accountability.
His comments come amid broader concerns about judicial credibility and political interference, reflecting significant tensions within Pakistan’s political landscape.
