New Delhi: PM Modi to Chair 9th NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting Focused on "Viksit Bharat@2047"

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to preside over the 9th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi today. The focal theme for this year’s assembly is "Viksit Bharat@2047," aimed at outlining a strategic roadmap to transform India into a developed nation by 2047.

The meeting will delve into the approach paper for the Vision Document on "Viksit Bharat," underscoring the importance of participative governance and fostering collaboration between the Centre and State Governments. The ultimate goal is to substantially improve the quality of life for both urban and rural populations.

The high-profile meeting will see participation from Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors of various States and Union Territories, alongside Union Ministers serving as Ex-officio Members and Special Invitees, in addition to the Vice Chairman and Members of NITI Aayog.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai confirmed his attendance, emphasizing the importance of this collaborative effort. Similarly, upon his arrival in Delhi, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant stated he plans to present the issues and demands of Goa before the council.
