Pranajit’s Fiery Rebuke: Condemning CPIM and Congress for Brazen Disregard of Our Constitution

Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy has accused opposition parties, particularly the Congress and the Left Front, of consistently disrespecting the Indian Constitution. His remarks came during a workshop marking Constitution Pride Day at Agartala’s Nazrul Kalakshetra, aimed at raising awareness and respect for the Constitution.

The event was inaugurated by Rajiv Bhattacharjee, Member of Parliament, with Minister Singha Roy, responsible for Constitution Pride Day activities, in attendance alongside other dignitaries. Singha Roy emphasized that January 26, celebrated as Republic Day, is also Constitution Day, highlighting the significance of honoring the Constitution, which was championed by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He stressed that respect for the Constitution is crucial for the progress of both the state and the nation.

Furthermore, Singha Roy announced that the BJP’s state unit has organized a series of programs as part of the Pride Day campaign leading up to January 25. These initiatives aim to educate the public about the importance of the Constitution, with a focus on outreach in educational institutions and communities. The objective is to reinforce democratic values and foster a deeper understanding of the Constitution among citizens.

Minister Singha Roy criticized current propaganda efforts that undermine the Constitution’s respect, urging the public to recognize and reject these attempts. He articulated that national advancement hinges on public awareness and respect for constitutional principles.

The workshop and the planned programs are seen as pivotal in nurturing a democratic ethos and reinforcing the ideals instituted by Dr. Ambedkar. This educational drive is viewed as essential in bolstering the nation’s democratic fabric and ensuring that the values of the Constitution are upheld and celebrated, fostering national unity and progress.
