Exciting Return: Captain America 4 Revives Beloved Ant-Man Character in Thrilling TV Spot!
Captain America: Brave New World is bringing back several familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) while unveiling some creative marketing collaborations. Among these returning characters is Dale, the Baskin-Robbins manager portrayed by Gregg Turkington, who makes a surprise appearance in a new TV spot for the film. Fans will remember Dale from the Ant-Man movies—he’s the manager who had to dismiss Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) from his job but allowed him a free ice cream cone. In this new commercial, part of a campaign with Tide titled “Collateral Stains,” Dale faces an unexpected mess when his smoothie is spilled after an encounter during a superheroic scene involving Captain America and the Red Hulk.
Brave New World isn’t just a sequel to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier but also ties up loose threads from 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. Key characters such as Samuel Sterns and Betty Ross, last seen in The Incredible Hulk, are reappearing, with Tim Blake Nelson and Liv Tyler reprising their roles. Notably, Harrison Ford steps in as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, taking over from the late William Hurt. Importantly, viewers will finally see Sterns take on the villainous persona of The Leader.
The film also marks Anthony Mackie’s first leading role in a Captain America movie as Sam Wilson, who took up the mantle in the Disney+ series. Joining him are familiar faces like Danny Ramirez and Carl Lumbly, alongside newcomers Shira Haas and Giancarlo Esposito.
Directed by Julius Onah and co-written with Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson, Captain America: Brave New World is set to open in theaters on February 14, as a part of the MCU’s Phase 5. The film promises to blend action with past narratives, paving the way for new storylines.
