PM Modi Unveils Transformative Development Projects in Delhi: Elevating Ease of Living for the Heart of India with Compassion
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated several key development projects in Delhi, impacting urban living and infrastructure across the city. The highlight of the day was the inauguration of approximately 1,700 newly constructed flats intended for residents of JJ clusters in Ashok Vihar. These flats, part of the Delhi Development Authority’s second In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Project, aim to improve the living conditions of the dwellers by providing modern amenities and a healthier environment. During the event, Modi personally handed over keys to eligible beneficiaries and engaged with them to understand their needs.
Additionally, the Prime Minister launched two significant urban redevelopment projects. The World Trade Centre at Nauroji Nagar now stands as a modern commercial hub, revitalizing an area that previously housed over 600 outdated quarters. It offers about 34 lakh square feet of premium commercial space and incorporates sustainable building practices, such as solar energy generation and rainwater harvesting. At Sarojini Nagar, the General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) Type-II Quarters comprises 28 towers with more than 2,500 residential units, focusing on efficient space utilization and modern living standards.
Furthermore, Modi inaugurated the Central Board of Secondary Education’s Integrated Office Complex in Dwarka, an extensive facility featuring offices, an auditorium, and a state-of-the-art data center, constructed at an investment of approximately 300 crore rupees. In academia, Modi laid foundation stones for new projects at Delhi University, entailing an investment of over 600 crore rupees. These projects include an academic block in the Eastern Campus at Surajmal Vihar, another in the Western Campus at Dwarka, and Veer Savarkar College at Roshanpura, Najafgarh.
Through these initiatives, the Modi government reinforces its commitment to enhancing urban infrastructure and education facilities, aiming for sustainable growth and development in the national capital.
