Empowering Vision Document Unveiled: Pramod Boro’s Blueprint for Bodoland’s Progress and Peace

Kokhrajhar: In a bid to spearhead development in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro, Chief of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) and president of the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL), has introduced the much-anticipated ‘Vision Document’. This comprehensive plan is designed as a “New Year gift” to the people of BTR, promising a transformative roadmap centered on peace, integrity, and the empowerment of the region’s diverse ethnic communities.

Boro emphasized that the Vision Document stems from extensive consultations with a wide array of community stakeholders, including women, farmers, teachers, youths, and local leaders. Its primary objective is to address the pressing needs of BTR’s 26 distinct ethnic and tribal communities, placing particular emphasis on preserving their languages, cultures, and identities. Additionally, the document advocates for the safeguarding of land rights and champions educational advancement and economic development initiatives.

By engaging directly with the community, this document reflects a grassroots approach to tackling regional challenges and aspirations. It seeks to foster an environment where all communities can thrive while maintaining their unique heritage.
