External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar recently engaged in key diplomatic discussions in Washington, D.C., where he met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. These meetings focused on reviewing the substantial growth of the U.S.-India partnership over the past four years. Jaishankar expressed satisfaction with the progress in bilateral cooperation, noting enhanced interactions in various domains and improved bilateral comfort levels. Additionally, Jaishankar met with India’s Consul Generals from New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Houston, and Atlanta. These interactions highlight the comprehensive scope of diplomatic efforts aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.
Jaishankar’s visit, scheduled from December 24 to 29, marks an important diplomatic engagement during the transition between the outgoing Biden administration and the incoming Trump administration, as he plans to meet with senior officials from both administrations.
