Exciting Rozgar Mela 2024: Union MoS Joyfully Empowers 80 Youth with Career-Transforming Appointment Letters
On December 24, 2024, the ‘Rozgar Mela 2024’ event was held in Gangtok, where Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of AYUSH and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, distributed appointment letters to 80 young individuals. The event, which took place at the conference hall of the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, saw the attendance of notable figures, including Dr. Sachin Parhad, Arjun Choudhary, and Prabhakar, Commissioner cum Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department. Other key attendees were Dinesh Kumar, Director General of Police of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, and Dr. Karma Chaden Bhutia, Additional Director-cum-State Program Officer of Health and Family Welfare.
Minister Jadhav expressed his enthusiasm to be part of the ‘Rozgar Mela 2024,’ a vision inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to achieve self-reliance and prosperity for India by 2047. During his speech, he congratulated the appointees, encouraging them to commit sincerely to their roles for the nation’s development as part of the ‘Vikasit Bharat @ 2047’ mission. Initiated by Prime Minister Modi’s administration on October 22, 2022, the Rozgar Mela aims to empower the youth through meaningful employment opportunities in various sectors.
In a significant demonstration of this initiative, Prime Minister Modi had previously distributed over 71,000 appointment letters through video conferencing. Today’s event in Gangtok was part of a larger, nationwide effort, with ‘Rozgar Mela 2024’ being conducted at 45 different locations across India, targeting recruitments for ministries and departments within the central government. Among the ministries involved are the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Department of Higher Education, and others, providing diverse opportunities for the newly appointed individuals as they embark on their professional journeys, contributing to India’s growth and self-reliance.
