Exciting Milestone: Nongpoh Auto Owners and Drivers Celebrate Opening of Dynamic Office at DTO Compound
In Nongpoh, on December 19, the Nongpoh Region Auto Owners and Drivers Association (NRAODA) celebrated the inauguration of its new office on the District Transport Office (DTO) premises in Ri Bhoi District. This pivotal development aims to enhance the organization’s operations for the benefit of local autorickshaw owners and drivers. The inauguration was conducted by Mayralborn Syiem, MLA of Nongpoh constituency, alongside John Nongrang, Motor Vehicle Inspector at the DTO Nongpoh office, Plielad Tiewsoh, NRAODA Advisor, and members of the association’s leadership and autorickshaw community.
NRAODA President, Banasar Lyngdoh Nonglait, expressed his elation regarding the swift establishment of the office under the new leadership, especially considering the prior inactivity of over 13 years. He emphasized the office’s potential to facilitate efficient management, enabling leaders to diligently pursue improvements in the lives and welfare of autorickshaw owners and drivers. Additionally, the initiative will support addressing their domestic needs and fostering overall progress.
MLA Syiem lauded the association’s efforts to better serve the autorickshaw community and encouraged members to pursue their work with honesty and mutual support, while avoiding unnecessary criticism. The event not only marked the rapid inauguration of the office within a few months of new leadership but also served as an occasion to celebrate the upcoming festive season with an advance Christmas and New Year cake-cutting ceremony, fostering a spirit of joy and camaraderie among attendees.
