Reliance Power, led by Anil Ambani, has achieved a significant legal victory as the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has withdrawn its debarment notice against the company and its subsidiaries, including Reliance NU BESS Limited. This development means that Reliance Power and its subsidiaries are now eligible to participate in all tenders issued by SECI.
On November 26, the Delhi High Court intervened by granting a stay on SECI’s previous decision to bar Reliance Power from participating in auctions for three years. This ban was initially imposed due to allegations that the company submitted a fake bank guarantee for a recent battery storage tender.
Reliance Power announced via a press release that the court’s decision allows them and Reliance NU BESS Limited to continue engaging in the SECI tenders.
